Travel suppliers, to encourage early bookings, in most cases guarantee that you'll receive a credit if a price is later reduced. Having said that, suppliers need to fill planes, trains and automobiles (along with ships and resorts), and last-minute bargains can be found. The key to success here, however, is flexibility.
